Lower Hutt Māori Wardens
The Lower Hutt Māori Wardens area encompasses Waterloo, Lower Hutt Central, Naenae, Taita, Stokes Valley, Silverstream and Upper Hutt. Our office is based at the Naenae Police Station, 5 Sladden Street.

Branch Chief Te Ari Taylor
Ngati Tūwharetoa, Āti Haunui-a-Pāpārangi, Ngāti Toa Rangatira, Kāi Tahu, Rangitāne
Te Ari is the Coordinator for the Lower Hutt Māori Wardens. She is originally from Kaikoura where she was a founding member of the Kaikoura Māori Wardens from 2014. As their community presence grew, through street patrols and helping out at local events, the unruliness of the town calmed down. She brings her experience and passion for the kaupapa to Lower Hutt.
